Foot Injury
Hi Ladies!
Unfortunately, I haven't been to the gym most of this fall and winter except on weekends due to my work schedule. With vacation this past week, I was able to go, so I took a class on Tuesday, and 2 back to back classes on Wednesday and then again on Saturday.
After Wednesday classes, I was wiped and sore all over, but felt really good to get back into it. When I woke up Thursday morning, the top of my foot hurt when I stepped up on the balls of my feet/toes when walking. Thought it was a cramp or just some soreness.
I had to go to the city on Friday and did a lot of walking there (or should I say, limping). I found that if I walk more on the side of my foot, it doesn't hurt but that clearly doesn't solve the problem.
On Saturday, still had the pain, went to Spin and had difficulty in 2nd position, so I stayed seated or went to third, which didn't bother me. Anyway, I looked up different reasons for pain in that area and found that maybe my shoes are too tight. Well, I've been in slippers only since Saturday morning. I also have been trying to rest it, to let it fix itself, but to no avail.
When I rest it for long periods of time, the pain is intense when I get up and walk regularly. Any ideas what I can do?? Would wrapping even help it?
I am prone to foot injuries, and last time I went to the doctor, they couldn't find anything broken, but when he pressed on it, it was so severe, I screamed and burst into tears. He just told me I must have done something to ligaments or tendons and wrapping it would help, but that was on the bottom/side of my foot. I just don't feel like going to the dr to be something that just needs rest to heal.
If you've made it this far, thanks! And if anyone has any advice, please let me know as I am looking forward to getting back to Spin this weekend and hopefully Zumba too!

Re: Foot Injury
I had a pain in that exact spot and it was a stress fracture! Rest for a couple of days and if you still have pain get it checked out. I had to take almost 4 weeks off from running, but was able to use the recumbent bike and then elliptical to keep some of my endurance. Good luck!
