for a 2nd wedding gift...
If you go to a wedding of someone who has been married before (you attended that wedding and it was 5 years ago) do you give the same gift ($300) or less?

i just went to my friends second wedding in under 4 years and i gave a little less, only bc money is tight though, not bc of any reason other then that

in all honesty you are right... but i still would not be able to give as much this time around, if only because in my head i would be thinking that this marriage might not work out either. horrible, i know, but money being tight wouldn't have much to do with it.
(if it was a first wedding, and money was tight, i'd still give what i usually give b/c i like to be generous).

I would give the same. DH was married once before and the wedding was 6 years before ours. MY MIL was adament about not inviting alot of family so we only had about 40 people from his side and from the people that came it seems that they gave the same amount as the first time.
