anyone ever use the enfamil suppliment formula to do this? i want to get a small case of this formula before the baby gets here and im not sure if i should get this or the soy which both kids drank because we are a family of milk allergy.

Nope. I used regular enfamil infant (specifically target's up & up version).

DS didn't like enfamil, I just use regular similac, which is what they had him on in the NICU. We had enfamil so we tried it but it made him too gassy and constipated in the beginning, so we just stick with the similac. He gets on average 1 formula bottle per day, right before bed, and it's a special daddy/son time when daddy feeds him and reads to him. It's usually only an hour after he last ate off me, so he only wants about 4 oz (usually eats 8 oz of BM at daycare, or 8oz if we are out and about some place I can't/am not comfortable BFing).

I wouldn't get much of anything simply because you never know what the baby might like.

FYI I know for Similac (probably for Enfamil too if you call and ask) the Similac for supplementation is the exact same formula as the Similac advance (blue tubs).

My OBGYN gave me a whole case of the Similac for supplementation and my mom called to ask if I could use it since my son was using Similac Advance Blue at that time. They said it is exactly the same formula but they re-label it to encourage breastfeeding moms to keep breastfeeding.

The supplementation ones are just a marketing ploy. As long as your baby tolerates it, you can supplement with any of them.
