For DC christening...where and what did every get for favors??

We gave out small jar yankee candles with a favor tag that said something along the lines of "on the flicker of the flame, say a prayer in DDs name".

It was around the holidays so everyone got a Lenox cross ornament

we didn't give any. To be honest, i was so busy getting the house ready for the party, i totally forgot.

I had DD's picture taken in her Christening gown and gave everyone a wallet size in frames I got from wrapwithus.com in syosset for $0.99.

I gave the Godparents the same pic in 3x5 Godmother/Godfather frames ordered from personalcreations.com

I had the pics taken in Kiddie Kandids. They give you your order the same day.

A lot of times you see this at at 1st birthdays but we did it for my DS christening....Made a music CD with songs to do with boys and just songs that reminded us of him...My best friend does free-lance photography and took a very angelic looking picture of him for the CD cover...We got the ribbons and ties a baggy of jelly beans to it...came out really cute, inexpensive and i figured at least its not a dust collector...otherwise I would have gone w/ something edible...I also like the personalized cookies with the photo on them

The placecards were glass jars with nonpareils and a blue bow with brown polka dots, made myself...

The "favor" was a delicious cookie cross made by my cousin, she makes the BEST cookies......

I wasn't going to give anything, but my mom made white choc cross lollypops tied with blue ribbon.

I made votive candles for both kids christenings. I got the glass holders and candles at AC Moore on sale, so it was less than $0.50 for each favor for those, then I made labels on 2" x 4" labels that had a picture of her and said "God Bless Sarah on her Christening Day June 5, 2005" and then I wrapped them in clear cellophane and put a favor bow from AC Moore on them. It's like a rubber band with a ribbon on it.

The hardest part was setting up the labels, and then the most time consuming part was putting the labels on and wrapping them. My mom and I made 30 in like 1 hour or so.
