For issues with GAS...
Formula changes or Bottle changes? Which is best?
We are switching now to the Gentlease..BUT...should I try maybe a different bottle? Like Dr. Browns?
We use Avent and playtex drop ins right now ( both).

We played around with bottles and Lily seems to have the least gas with Dr. Browns, so we're sticking with them.

If switching to the Gentlease doesn't work, I would then change bottles.

Re: For issues with GAS...
Is his gas REALLY bad? Like where he is screaming all day? I'm asking because it's fairly common for babies to have gas in the beginning no matter which bottles or formula you use. Emma had gas, but it has cut down dramatically since she was a newborn.
ETA, maybe you should just use one brand, not both Avent and Drop In's. That might cut down a bit. If you are using drop in's, squeeze the air out of the liner before you give to him.

Re: For issues with GAS...
we changed formula first and we also changed bottles and the combo was great.
we went from Avent bottles to Evenflo glass bottles and we went from similac to gentlease and eventually ended up with enfamil ar which works best for us.
good luck- it is def all trial and error.

In the last say week it has become this bad.....He cries in pain after he eats for a while...and then falls asleep ansd then wakes up crying again which lasts till almost its time to eat again. The first few weeks he had what I would call normal gas/crying.....but suddenly its awful......

Baby zantac is a godsend for those that can tolerate it. Easy in, no residual after effects, Took the propulsion out of my son's gas so that his burps weren't epic!

Re: For issues with GAS...
Avent makes a drop in bottle called the Tempo. My DD only likes the the Avent nipple so these bottles are awesome. No gas at all.

Re: For issues with GAS...
We never switched formula, until about 10 months old...but when we switched to Dr. Brown's it really helped. We tried a million different bottles it felt like. Finally ended up with Dr. Brown's.

we did this with Christopher and it worked well along with a formula change
