? for mommies of Team Green..
Are you buying a boy and girl take home outfit or a neutral one?
Last pregnancy I knew I was having a girl, so dds outfit is pink. This time staying Team Green, wondering if I should buy one of each and just have dh wash before bringing up to hospital after we find out and return other.. or just buy a neutral one.

Re: ? for mommies of Team Green..
When I was pg. with DS ( team green too) I had bought a pink outfit and a blue outfit ( same outfit different colors)....Obviously we used the blue for DS- I kept the pink, thinking that if we had a girl next, that it would be so special that they each wore the same take home outfit (one in pink one in blue) for pics etc......So since I already had a pink one, I went out and bought a blue one also this time- Its a sweater outfit and I could totally use it for a girl if I wanted to (thats how I justified spending the $ - LOL) There are also some beautiful cream colored outfits out there that could easily be used for either

Not sure yet! I may let my mom take care of this once the baby is born.

Re: ? for mommies of Team Green..
Last time my mom bought the outfit, washed it, and brought it to the hospital...this time my husband says that he wants to go and pick one out with my dd once the baby is born...hopefully it fits and is cute! It wasn't a big deal to me the first time or this time, so whatever he picks will be fine!

Re: ? for mommies of Team Green..
I am going to get something gender neutral and very practical. I am personally not a fan of dressing up a brand new baby in a complicated outfit. I just want them to be warm and comfortable.
Maybe I will get a cute boy and girl hat-- then return whichever I don't use.

Re: ? for mommies of Team Green..
DH and I picked out a yellow long sleeved onesie ( buttons down the middle) that is covered in X's and O's...for hugs and kisses. It has a matching hat and blanket so we will probaly use that since it works either way

Re: ? for mommies of Team Green..
For DD, I had picked out both boy and girl onesies from Carters and bought them in both newborn and 0-3 sizes. DD was sooooo tiny that the newborn was huge on her, so all of the other ones went back to Macys. It ended up being one of my favorite outfits for her and since it wasn't so fancy, she got a lot of wear out of it.
I plan on doing the same this time around.

Re: ? for mommies of Team Green..
We bought something neutral. The take home outfit was one thing I didn't obsess over. I wanted baby to be warm and comfortable. We bought a cute onesie that came with a matching snap jacket and a little cap. It was perfect.

Re: ? for mommies of Team Green..
I think I am going to get something neutral. My DD was in her coming home outfit all of 10 minutes before she pooped all over it so I guess I am not that excited by the idea anymore.
