Re: For mommies that still have some weight to lose
For bathing suits I highly suggest trying Great Shapes. They are in Roslyn, Woodbury and Merrick. They are more expensive, but totally worth it. They have a ton of stuff with underwire.
As for dresses, try Ann Taylor, NY and Co, Marshall, TJ MAx. I try to stick with Empire waist.
Good Luck

Re: For mommies that still have some weight to lose
I have been putting it off myself - cause I have been trying to lose some weight. I have lost 2 lbs - but that means nothing in bathing suit sizes.
We will be putting the boat in the water soon(which should have been done months ago), and DH is off for 2 weeks - so we will be on it most of those days. So I need one soon. I am so frustrated

Re: For mommies that still have some weight to lose
Im a plus size and believe it or not found a really nice suit in Sears..(All black with a skirt type suit).. I had more trouble because of my Beautiuful Gall Bladder incisions that were made last week..But, I succeeded and found a comfy suit..
As for dresses, I love Dress Barn.

Go to Sears and try on the Lands End selections they have. I find them to be baby-body friendly.

Re: For mommies that still have some weight to lose
I found a great deal at Avenue for plus size suits. I got skirtinis that were supposed to be $90 but they were already marked down to 30% off and if you open their charge card they give you 30% off your purchase so they ended up only being $27 and they're really nice and very flattering and I looked everywhere before I ended up there. I also found one at OldNavy.com. they're only offering plus sizes online now but it seems like very good quality considering it's from Old Navy

Re: For mommies that still have some weight to lose
I had to go to 2 weddings since having Ainsley - one at 5 weeks PP and the other at 8 weeks. I bought a black strapless dress at Steve and Barry's - the Sarah Jessica Parker line called 'Bitten.' Dress cost less than $20 and hopefully it will be too big on me soon!

Re: For mommies that still have some weight to lose
I don't!
I refuse to get in a bathing suit until I lose the weight, so it looks like this summer I am going suitless...

This is where I bought mine and I love it. It's a halter top and a little bathing skirt that I feel comfortable in playing with a baby. You can squat, bend over, sit in the sand and not have to worry.
