? for people who had Trees removed

I had 5 tree cut down in my backyard and 1 in the front about 2 months ago. I now have these piles where the stumps were ground. What do I do with them? I don't really care so much about the back, but right in the front it looks horrible. Can I plant over that spot? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

I removed the mulch and used that in the back flowerbeds that I have. Then I put topsoil over the spot where the tree was and put down grass seed.

Re: ? for people who had Trees removed

One tree was already in a mulched area, so that was easy to cover. The ones in the backyard I kept about a 3' stump, so I could use it as a table for DC (I know, a little to late to suggest not grinding it as an option...)

You could put a statue over the spot, a rock garden, or like AP mentioned, topsoil and grass. You don't need that much soil for grass.

Our tree stump remover suggested we leave it there b/c over the next few months he said the ground will cave in where the stumps and roots were removed and to wait until the fall to do anything.

We were told to remove all of the mulch right away. It will attract termites and not to put it in the flower beds because it is not treated mulch.

We will put seed down and hope it takes.
