For the bunny, not for Alex!
OMG, does anyone have that Sandra Boynton book, "Hey Wake Up"???
For everyone else, one of the verses is "Are you hungry? Come inside. Morning snack is here for you. Milk and cookies.And broccoli stew. Ew. For the bunny, not for you!"
This is one of Alex's FAVORITE books, and one of her FAVORITE verses of the book. Which is all fine and dandy, until it came time last night to eat dinner.
Chinese food. With a big fat order of steamed vegetables and tofu.
Alex was munching away on the baby corn, carrots, even the cabbage and onion.
Now, usually she looooooooves broccoli and eats it right up, so DH told her she should eat a piece of broccoli.
Alex scrunches up her face and says "Ew! Broccoli for the bunny, not for Alex, silly daddy!"
Now, how the hell am I going to get her to start eating broccoli again??? I'm writing a letter of complaint to Sandra Boynton TODAY!

I have thought of that. Knowing me, I'd probably change the words until they were old enough to notice...lol.
We really play up the yummy-ness of fruit in this house.
