For the Moms that exercise - Please share your schedule, tips
I am really trying to motivate myself this time around to lose the last 15-20 lbs to get to the weight I was before I had my children.
I dont' have time to go to the gym but I trying to incorporate exercise videos (I love the exercise channel ON DEMAND) and I've been exercising for an hour every couple days. NOT enought I don't think. I usually do the 2 Mile walk and some sit ups etc...or I choose another program.
I was just curious how many times do you exercise in a week and for how long?
ITs hard to keep up at it because i get so lazy come the evening - but I really want to keep at it. What has been effective for you?

i get in 30 min a day on the wii fitness.
i do it when DS is taking a bath
i just started last week and havent missed a day.
i also do WW
EDIT: just doing youor workout 3x a week is great. if you have time try to do it when the kid(s) are sleeping or first thing in the AM

I've decided to start running. I've set some goals in mind for some races this summer. Its good for me because its free, always accessible and challenging. On days I don't run, I do jillians 30 day shred. I haven't lost the 10lbs I need to just yet, but I do feel my body changing.

I just started doing the 30 day shred with Jillian Michaels again. I do it in the morning before DD gets up.I did it after my c-section and lost 25lbs in 2 months and it was great. Its only 20 minutes a day, and you dont HAVE to do it everyday, but if you want to lose quickly, then yes everyday. I'm not going to lie- it sucks a bit , she's not joking around. But it works! Good luck.

this is my challenge too! ugh! it is so frustrating! i used to be in great shape and i DO NOT want to spend another summer in clothes to hide me.i have been pregnant/BFing on and off for almost 2-3 years and am finally done! between work and 2 kids etc it is so hard but here are some tips that i TRY to use:
i do the 30 day shred either after the kids go to bed or while DD is playing (she sometimes "joins in" with me) and DS is in his jumperoo.
i use the treadmill or the dreadmill as i call it since it's so boring...but after the kids are in bed and watch my shows while on it.
if the temps are warm both kids go in the jog stroller and i run with them
on weekends i go running while they nap.
sounds like i am doing a lot but a lot of days none of this happens for multliple reasons!

I see you have 2 kids. I only have one but this is what I do/did.
I take DS to the gym with me. Before I could take him to the gym I would go at 5 a.m. and then just take him in the jogging stroller when I ran.
Going at 5 a.m. SUCKED but I got my body back and so that was the trade off for me. I'll definitely be doing that again next time around(if we are so blessed). I don't know if I could run 2 in a stroller so maybe walk them in the stroller. But FAST!

Crossfit.
It's not boring, most WOD's (workout of the day) you can do at home, you use your own body weight mostly and most importantly... it works! DH and I go to a crossfit gym but you said you can't get to a gym so you can do some of the travel workouts.
Eat healthy.
Eating healthy is so important. I see it so much where people think oh I did a great workout today so I can have mcdonalds for dinner. Be conscious of what you eat, how you prepare it, etc. I know for me I feel so much better when I eat healthy.
Motivation.
Motivation to me is huge. Is your DH insterested in getting in shape as well? If not, maybe a friend? Having DH want to be in shape and healthy as well makes me want to get off my butt and go to the gym. If he didn't feel that way it would be tough to get motivated.
Back to crossfit... here are some travel workouts from the website of the gym I go to:
TRAVEL WORKOUTS Simply pick one * and do it. NO EXCUSES.
*Run 1/2 mile 50 air squats - 3 rounds. *10 push-ups 10 sit ups 10 squats - 10 rounds. *"Susan" Run 200m 10 squats 10 push ups 5 rounds. *Sprint 200m and do 25 push ups, 3 rounds. *5 push ups 5 squats 5 sit ups, 20 rounds. *10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 sets of sit-ups and a 100 meter sprint between each set. *10 push ups 10 air squats and 10 sit ups, 6 rounds for time. *10 push-ups 100M dash 10x. *100 air squats. I used to do it about 5 or 6 times a week. Now, may... 3 times. I also jump around and dance when playing with DS or whenever I'm going up and down steps I do every two steps.
DS goes down around 7:30 PM so I go on the treadmill for about 30 mins to an hour at night. I also take a cardio kickboxing class Saturday mornings.

this sounds cool, but whats a burpee?

You start standing and then do a squat and put your hands on the floor, then kick your legs back and do a push up then back to squat and jump up. Hard to explain, but here's a youtube video demonstration:

I got a Wii Fit for Christmas, ask me if I've had time to take the damn thing out of the box !!

I do an hour, right after DS goes to bed.
1/2 with the EA active, 15 minutes with the medicine ball, 10 mins of weights and 5 minutes of floor exercises. I do this for 2 nights, the rest one, 2 nights, rest one, etc.

Ladies. you are all wonderful - thank you so much for the recommendations and tips.
I Have to say im amazed at how many mommies are recommendating the 30 day shred by Jillian! I did try it last week - and OMG it kicked my BUTT!! I couldn't move for 3 days i swear! She is totally motivating but it hurt so much - in my legs, arms, etc... im afraid to try it again!!!
I will definitely look into the Crossfit at home - looks like something that will give me results and I agree eating healthy is very important. Im been adding lots of fresh veggies and fruits to our diets and I did lose a couple lbs so far - but want to lose more.

since the new year i've told myself i haaaave to get back in shape. or at least tone up. this baby fat is disgusting in every way
i went to my local gym and got evaluated in the areas that i need to work on. i decided if i'm gonna do this, i gotta do it right so i signed up for a personal trainer. i'll feel obligated to "report" to her and it'll really motivate me to stick through with it. i work out with her 2x a week and work out by myself 2x a week. DD stays in the childcare at the gym. so far it's really helping!

I just went back to the gym recently since i was waiting for my 6wk post-preg appt.
Right now i am trying to workout 3-4x a week. If i dont go to the gym i do Jillian Michaels 30day Shred DVD. I like it but i am just more of a gym person. Im not a fan of working out at home to a video.
I go to the gym on Saturdays since DH is home, at night after he gets home, and on Thursdays since my mom comes on Thursdays. Im doing the best i can. I just posted about wantingt olose my 15lbs of preg weight
