For those debating about getting a glider - STRONGLY recomended!!!!
We have a teeny teeny room for Cailen - not enough room for really a full set of furniture - we finally got our furniture on Saturday. We were debating on getting a glider b/c we werent sure we would have room for it in the room, but decided we would get it and figure it out since my parents were getting the furniture for us as a gift...
The 1st few nights we had Cailen home, we didn't have his furniture yet, so we would just sit and feed him before bedtime and during the nightime. He is a good sleeper anyway, but once we used the glider, he sleeps soooo much better!!!
I dont know what it is about the glider motion, but he drinks his bottles better, is a lot more calm at night, and went from waking every 2-3 hours to 3-4 hours... and the middle of the night feedings go by a lot smoother and quicker...
I wanted to share that with you ladies beginning to pick out your furniture!!!

My friend says every pregnant woman must have one. LOL So I guess they must really do the trick then.

We have a tiny nursery too. We got a crib, armoire, changing table AND glider.
We prefered having the glider vs a dresser at this time. Baby won't have THAT many clothes at first.
We can always put the glider in another room for later and get a dresser.

I still use it sometimes with my 2 year old. He loves to sit and rock and read a book before bed.

I wasn't going to get one, but I found it to be uncomfy to sit on the couch and feed Emma so I got the Jardine Cherry one from Toys R Us for $129 for both pieces. It's on the BRU website, but they don't actually sell it at BRU, only TRU. It's nice for the price. The upholstery is light though, so I'm afraid it will get dirty fast!

Cover it with a quilt, or get material/fabric that matches the nursery..

Re: For those debating about getting a glider - STRONGLY recomended!!!!
Instead of a glider, My MIL purchased a recliner. Does the same job and if anything, comfy, reclines, no need for ottoman (exta expense), I can sleep in it...ahhhhh and I plan on moving it to the den when I dont need it as much.
