For those familiar with Florida.. Some questions about the Port St. Lucie Area!

We are thinking of taking a family trip down to the PSL area in March for Mets Spring Training. I have a few questions since I know nothing about the area.

What is the best airport to fly into: West Palm Springs or Orlando?

How far is Seaword / Disney from the PSL area? (We are thinking of taking a day trip to one of the parks during our stay)

Do you have any recommendations for hotels in the PSL or surrounding areas of the training camp? A 30 min drive would be the furthest we are willing to drive from the hotel to the game and Parks.

I guess we are looking for a hotel in between the Disney or Seaworld area & PSL- If that makes sense!

Also, How is the weather mid March in Central FL?

Thanks so much!

My friend lives in Pt.St Lucie and whenever we go see him we fly into West Palm...

We did go to Universal one time while there and it wasn't a short trip...Took us almost 2 hours from what I remember
(maybe slightly less but not much)

Can't recall where we stayed , but we stayed in PSL not between Orlando and PSL so I wouldnt be much help anyhow Chat Icon

Definitely fly into West Palm for PSL. PSL to Orlando is probably a little less than two hours. There's not really an "in between place" to stay since it would be about an hour to get to either so I would just stay at two different hotels.

My Inlaws live in PSL. We've been there a few times in March. Weather is warm-ish. 70's. I remember wearing tank tops and shorts to the day games.

We fly into West Palm when we go there.

Vero Beach.. namely the Vero Beach Resort & Spa.

We've stayed there many times, it's right on the beach, you can walk to shops and restaurants. The hotel is VERY clean and nice rooms. You are about 30 min from PSL and about an hour twenty min from Orlando.
