How do u know it didn't work? Were there any signs?
My 3 yr old started like 2 weeks ago and he's been crying every day I drop him off, hiding behind me when any of the teachers come to get him, he's all smiles and happy when I pick him up though and tells me how he had fun with his school friends.
He had separation anxiety when he was younger but I signed him up for a little school that dealt with it and he improved sooo much to the point that he loved the class!
So I'm not sure if he now cries in this school because of the type of school it is, or because he's starting to get into a school routine and summer is over.
Thoughts?

I think it is just separation anxiety. My 2 year old DS has literally cried at drop off at daycare more or less every day for a year. When I pick him up though, he asks if the daycare lady can come home with us... I like to think he puts on a show for me in the morning.

My 3 yr old ran into school last year. Never once cried. This year new school and cries before going. Goes on but like she's got cement shoes on lol but happy at pick up. I think it separation anxiety. I know what you are feeling.
