for those of you that go to southbay obgyn in W.islip
what takes place at a "new ob" appt.? that's what they called it!
i have one coming up...i will be 12.4 weeks then? any info would b appreciated!! :) thanks!! ETA: this will be my 2nd appt. there (i had one sono already and heard the heart beat!!:) )

They do your sono, take your bp, height, weight, urine. Then you talk to the doc and they (atleast they did when I had ds) gave me a bag of goodies to take home. Also they will tell you what to expect with testing. HTH

that about covers it...you will most likely meet with Victoria (OB coordinator) to go over medical history and info about the practice etc

thanks girls...
i went to my first appt and they did urine, wt, asked medical history (mine/family), sono, a whole gyno exam, etc..... so i was just wondering what they did at this one!
jennarose...thanks for all of your help/advice about southbay...i really did like it there! i will send u a fm about it soon!!

oh and they also sent me to get blood work @ a lab...(which i have yet to do-ill do it this weekend//had a very crazy week!)
oh and how long is this appt. aprox.? TIA

thanks! i just had my bloodwork done today..soo much blood!! hopefully the results will be in by the time i have my appt this week!

It depends which Dr. you see (there are so many)
They should do an U/S to make sure you see a heart beat which was nice.
Just a side note....I switched, my gf (who also used to go there) and I refer to it as a "Vagina Factory" if you can, try to see Dr. Judge as much as possible. If he opened his own office, I would follow him to the end of the world.
