For Those Of You Who Have Done A FET...How May Embies SURVIVED The Thaw?
I hear statistically 50% survive. We have four frozen. They are frozen in two viles (two in each one). We are doing a FET soon and only putting back one.
Just cuious how successful or unsuccessful people were with the thawing process.

for our first we thawed 2 and both made it in excellent condition still....
friday we are transferring the remaining three since fet 1 didnt work... ill let you know

I actually heard 75% survive , though I'm not sure if my RE told me that or where I heard it from

With mine we thawed two and they both survived with no issues. I got DD out of that bathch

first FET - thawed 3, transferred 3.
second FET, had to thaw 5 to get the 3 to transfer.
if you don't mind my asking... do you have a plan in place in case they both survive the thaw?

My first FET I had 2 frozen and neither survived.
In the process of FET#2 I have 4 embies frozen on day 1 and 5 frozen on day 3 (from 2 separate IVF cycles). We will see how they do when they thaw. We are only putting back 2.

My first FET -- defrosted 2 and both made it (concevied DS)
Second FET -- defrosted 2, one did not make it, so the third (and final) was defrosted also

I don't mind at all. If they boh survive my plan is to re-freeze the embie that survived. My DR said you can, although it loses SOME potency:) But...I cannot risk twins, for my fresh cycle I took that risk and got a singleton. Now, one more is all we could handle
