For Those Of You Who Have The Fisher Price Healthy Care Booster Seat
Hi Ladies,
What do you think is the youngest age to start using it?
My DD is almost 5 and 1/2 MOS. She has ALMOST grown out of her Graco Infant Seat and was wondering if she was old enough to use this when we go to a restaurant or can we also use a restaurant's high chair. She holds her head up fully and can sit up with help from us, she flops if we let her go. What do you all think? Is 5 and 1/2 MOS too young? If so, where do you put your child who has grown out of their infant seat in a restaurant? Thanks for reading.

DD started using it at 4 months, DS probably closer to 6 months. Neither could sit on their own when we started.
I would use it when your DD has good head control sitting up straight, since it doesn't recline. The tray keeps them from flopping over. It sounds like your DD would do fine from what you wrote. Just try it at home for a few minutes here and there and see how she does.
I never used the restaurant high chairs, there was too much room behind her so DD never liked it. Never bothered trying with it DS since the seat worked so well with DD, I bought him one too.
They love having their own tray.

I don't have the chair but my girls started sitting in restaurant high chairs at 5 months old. My youngest could sit with support earlier then 5 months so we would put baby blankets around her to support her in the restaurant highchair at around 4 months old. They were both sitting up by 5 months old. Your DD will probably be able to sit well soon, but if you put blanket behind her it would probably support her enough to sit at that age..
