For those of you who read the Baby Bargains book thingy....
What is the best monitor to register for? With DD we got one of the Summer brand ones, and if was a piece of crap. We ended up throwing it out after 2 months. So this time I want a good one. I was going to go with the Angel monitor with movement sensor, but I haven't heard much good stuff about that one either. Any help would be appreciated!

Oh great, we are registered for the Summer video monitor.
It's not listed in Baby Bargains because they really didn't talk about the video monitors -- but the baby registry girl at BRU said it is the best-selling of the video monitors....

I think that all of these things are subject to personal opinion - either you love it or you don't. We went with a Graco digital monitor since the book seemed to recommend digital. Supposedly we will get less interference with the cordless phone. We'll see when we get it. In the meanwhile - I have to admit that this is one of the items I never have a recommendation for.

We have the FP Lights & Sounds. We have one in Sarah's room on channel A, one in Andy's room on channel B and have had no problems. We don't pick up other people's monitors or phone calls or anything. And it picks up every little sigh.
We live in a split so I'm never far from their rooms so I didn't feel the need for a video monitor.

I think there is some trial and error involved to figure out which one won't have interference in your house.

Graco and Sony have good ratings. I went with the Sony one.

The one we had wasn't the video, it was just a regular sound one, so maybe the video one will be better.
