Did you use a pnp the ship provided? Or use a bed?

We ordered the pnp on the ship, but I wasnt really thrilled with it, mattress was kinda thin and the whole thing didnt look to well constructed. He ended up sleeping in our bed or my aunts bed

We cruised when my DS was 9 months old on Carnival- I have to say the porta-crib was kinda flimsy and he just barely fit...We ended up putting him in the bed with us (not something we normally do at home) and used it only to put him in to play while we got ready...He's 2 now and would never fit in the one that they gave us (and it kinda got in the way too)

DD was 17 months when we went on a cruise and they had a mini crib, it looked like a dog crate but she actually slept great in it... the mattress was not flimsy at all, here's a picChat Icon

BRING YOUR OWN!!!!!

We cruised with RCCL on New Years and the crib/portacrib/pnp that they promised was BROKEN. And when we complained and my aunt complained (she is our TA and was traveling with us) they say they were short and had to give us that one because we were the last room to GET one (not reserve one, it was reserved before DS was even BORN!)

That being said, because DS was only 8 months old it was ok and he slept fine in it, but a child that was ANY bigger would have been in BIG trouble with it.Chat Icon
