For those that kicked the swaddle habit.
Help. DD breaks out and wakes herself...once one hand is out shes up. I hate doing it because I have to make it soooo tight for her to stay in. My questions: She needs to sleep with her binkey. * When her hands are free she pulls it out to get her hand in there instead. Is this going to keep her up? * Should I stop for naps or bedtime first...or both. She hardly naps as is. I only get a half hour usually...so Im not sure if I will get anything if I start there. * Any more advice?

I would start putting her in the sleepsack. How old is she now? Hopefully she will find the pacifier and put it back in her mouth.

Re: For those that kicked the swaddle habit.
im using the miracle blanket right now, and have been thinking about what i will do when i need to get her out of it.. im thinkin, that im gonna each nite, make it looser and looser..until shes just laying on top of it..then i will take it away.. she is actually just as attached to the feel of it, (because she associates it with sleep) as she is the way it feels to be wrapped in it, so i hope this works.. if not, ill need your help by then!!

Re: For those that kicked the swaddle habit.
DD would get her hand out and wake herself at around 4.5 months. DH and I picked a Friday night to put her in a sleepsack and from the first night she did great! We put her in her crib with a pacifier in her mouth, turned on the noise machine and she went to sleep. I would try it for your DD... she make like it!! GL!
