Re: For those that sell on ebay
Stuff the kids don't use anymore or that they got as gifts that we aren't going to use.
Stuff from my bridal shower I've never used and don't see myself using.
Stuff we've "inherited" over the years and don't care for.
Pretty much anything.

Re: For those that sell on ebay
anything and everything, but mainly clothing. I take anything I can get my hands on to sell. I've made little investment buys here and there, and once did a giant spring at the Estee Lauder Factory, but generally I sell anything!!

Re: For those that sell on ebay
almost everything will sell. I've been surprised at what does sell (for a lot more than I thought) and what doesn't sell.
Generally clothing (baby, womens, mens, kids, maternity, etc) Goes Fast especially if its name brand AND NWT/NWOT (new with/or without tag)
My own experience, cosmetics, body items go fast as well because they are not always available in certain parts of the country or world (I ship international).
Shoes, handbags, will go.
I notice a lot of housewares stuff like crystal, candles, etc don't really sell all that well, but then again some do.

start out with what you have and don't price it too high
name brand stuff sells best

Re: For those that sell on ebay
yes, thanks Beth, the key is too price your item a little lower than the average item on ebay. I start almost all my clothes at 99 cents-up to 4.99. But almost all sell for more. I love ebay because folks will bid up, not bargain down.
Some advice: -always take a photo. Pay for the gallery listing fee. Its the cheapest and most used. NEVER USE STOCK PHOTOS!! Always take your own photos -accept paypal. Don't try to run ebay through money orders. Accept them if you want (I do) but prefer paypal. ALSO, NO PERSONAL CHECKS! -get free proriety boxes at your post office or on the usps website. No need to pay for boxes. -ship fast. Its the easiest way to make people happy. I ship next day from receiving payment. -feedback is a crucial part of selling on ebay. In the beginning you're gonna want to get your ebay feedback high and be at least higher than 95% (preferably 98% and up).

I'm with ya Scott. My DH makes fun of me because if he doesn't wear a shirt within like a month, I'm saying "its gonna end on ebay if you don't start wearing it". My MIL and my mom both always give me crap (I'm mean crap) to sell. I don't turn anything down!

Re: For those that sell on ebay
I've sold clothes, books, baby stuff (used and new with tags that we got as gifts but she never wore), I'll buy stuff on clearance at stores and sell it new on Ebay for a profit.
I'll go to thrift stores and find name brand stuff/designer stuff/ even new stuff and sell it!
And if you can find a wholesaler of a particular item...you're in business!
Anything you get as a free gift....like when Victoria's secret gives away something when you buy something...BINGO.
Anything you are talented at....there are a million people on there that do the photo invites/announcements, personalized things, etc.
I was at a goodwill one day and found a NEW in the box LGB train car (model trains) and paid $4 for it...sold it for $50 or $60 I think.
