for those that used mutt manners (re: group classes)

does anyone go to these? if so which location? i have to start taking my crazy dog to them since the trainers said she needs to be socialized more cause she's absolutely nuts and was just curious if any of you ladies go to them. thanks

we went last year and we go to the classes in wantagh. We havent gone this summer though....but they are great and Maverick is doing well.

We usually go to the class in Farmingdale. Maximus hasn't been there in a few weeks though. It's good for him to be around other dogs and people so he knows how to behave.

i just had my 1st at home training session... i will probably take them to group classes when we are done with that at home, bc i think both of my dogs need to be socialized, big time. i'm not sure of the locations/times - it depends what will work with my crazy work schedule. what exactly goes on during these classes?

i've seen one group class at farmingdale before we got jameson trained and they basically just get all of the dogs together and exercise their brains a little by making them do the normal place, sit, stay, etc they might do other stuff, i'm not too sure but Jameson needs to be socialized BIG TIME! so if anyone is going this saturday morning, i'll be there with the crazy white beautiful pitbull! i'll probably go on sunday too. we might go twice a week just so she gets socialized more and hopefully she can go places with us like the other 2 puppies. i feel bad nobody wants her around so she has to stay upstairs locked away while the other 2 are downstairs or out with us :(

aww that's how i feel about my maltese, quinn... ava is so sweet and just wants to be pet by everyone. she is scared sometimes but will just run in between my legs and "hide"... but quinn is our little agressor and wants to bark and jump and nip... i keep him away from other people and dogs to prevent this but i feel so bad. hence, the dog training! they both need to be socialized for different reasons. none of the group classes are anywhere near my house, but i'll you know when i start going!
