For those who already have changing table pads set up....
I have a changing table pad that has the seat belt thing on it....but when I put the covers that I bought over it, it covers the belt....did you cut holes in your cover or how else did you get it to be on the outside? Thanks!

Re: For those who already have changing table pads set up....
I just had this problem. I actually returned on pad b/c the straps wouldnt go over the cover. I could only use the same brand covers that came with slits or cut my own.
I ended up buying a colgate pad from buy buy baby. Its fits all covers and the strap is long and adjustable.

Thanks for the reply...unfortunately I got the pad from Behrs with my furniture, so I dont want to go all the way out there to exchange it (actually not even sure that I can)...where did you see ones that already had slits in it?

I put them to the side. There are some pad covers that have holes for the straps. I personally didn't find a need to use the straps. When she got old enough I was changing her on the bed or floor (she was too big for the changing table.) Just have to watch at all times and never leave the child no matter what age on there.

The belt on mine comes from the bottom edge of the pad so the cover isn't in the way. I think my changing bad is from Simmons. I also never really used the straps because I was always right there with him.

Our covers had slits in them for the belts but I never used the belt. As long as you're standing next to them the whole time you really don't need the belt.

I've never used the belt either!! I would imagine it gets in the way anyway!! Just never leave their side while changing a baby and things will be fine!

We just pulled our cover underneath the straps. There was enough room for it to fit snuggly and the straps were still on the outside.

I have a terry cloth cover from BRU (I think the brand is Especially for Baby) that has slits in the sides for the straps.
