For those who aren't finding out gender- coming home outfit

I was thinking someone would buy something for the baby to come home in, but then it wouldnt be washed... Should I just buy a neutral outfit for the baby to come home in and wash it myself?

I was going to do that so I have something, my mom also offered to buy something gender specific while i am in the hospital and wash it and bring it to me - is there anyone that can do that for you if you wanted a gender specific outfit?

I would go with neutral. Ivory, green, yellow.

They make some cute one. I would want to be ready and not ask DH to wash something in a hurry.

With Sarah I got a neutral outfit b/c I was being a control freak and wanted to wash it myself.

With Andy I got a boy's outfit and a girl's outfit ahead of time and my mom washed the appropriate one for me while I was in the hospital and DH brought it the night before we came home.

For my son I bought both a girl and boy outfit. My plan was to have DH wash the needed outfit when the time came - but since my son was in the NICU - I had more time than planned and washed it myself. I plan to do the same this time too.

I was going to get a boy and girl outfit but just had a neutral one.

One thing I did learn is to get something in newborn and something in 0-3. Ours was 0-3 and too big for DD. The pants fell off when we picked her up.

I registered for this one.... but my girlfriend called me in a tizzy yesterday about how she wants to get baby a coming home outfir in the right color. She wants us to call when we know what we had and she will have 2 outfits ready -- she will bring the right one to the hospital and return the other at another time. She was so adamant about it that I said ok!

I did the same thing and then returned the outfit we didn't need.

I know someone who did the same for the bedding.

I bought an ivory fleece sweat suit from Old Navy for her/him to come home - I thought it was the cutest thing.

Yep - we did that for bedding - we ordered 2, paying for one - all we have to do is tell them which one we want....
