For those who dye their own hair
I started to use light brown foam dye by Garnier. My natural color is light brown, but over the years (since getting grey hair), I've used dark to medium brown too, (different brands). Now, since using the Garnier light brown, I feel like the crown of my head is lighter than the rest of my hair. And, I've used it a few times and always notice the same thing.
What am I doing wrong? Is it the brand? Is it the foam?
Any and all help is welcome!!

Are U running the leftover color through your ends to refresh? If so u can't do that with permanent cokor bc over time grabs darker and muddier. Unless u go darker at the roots u will need a color correction to remove the darker mid shafts and ends bc color cannot listen previously colored hair xoxo

Oh wow, that's so interesting. And yes, I am running the leftover through the ends. Thanks for the reply!
I think my best best would be to have it done at my salon from now on.

My colorist told me to just color my roots if I'm doing it at home and not to put the color on the rest of my hair.
