for those who go to tanning salons--no flames about tanning please.........
I haven't gone in years and I try to stay out of the sun. However, I have a slight deficiency in vitamin D and I often get the winter blues. My doctor told me that more sunlight would do me some good. He said to do little things like open the blinds at work, etc. In the past, if we had a very long winter, I would go tanning to feel better and it worked. I figure that if I go for 1-2 sessions it may do me a world of good. I do not want to do damage to my skin but with 2 months of winter left, I want to do something! Does anyone else feel like tanning helps their well being? It's sort of a catch-22.

My MIL takes prescription vitamin D because she isn't suppose to be in the sun. I would go this route before going to a tanning salon.

no flames here.
I worked in a tanning salon for yrs and it was something I had to do for ME to feel good.
Its something I feel like anything else, in moderation.
I am pg now so I get sprayed tan and normally I would get a tan or two this winter.
I def dont go as often as I did younger....maybe cause I am seeing some side effects, aka as wrinkles.
