Personally I think that its a right of passage to get yourself in a little bit of CC debt and then get yourself out of it and learn from your mistakes. When all of this happens before you get yourself into a real hole credit wise, it can really help you learn to appreciate everything that you have and not use CCs.

As for the poll - i guess its interesting to see but combined income really doesnt present the whole story. There are so many other factors like - family money you may have had, prior homes or investments you may have made a lot of money on, how much debt you are willing to be in, etc....

What you said about right pf passage for CC debt is very wise! I never thought of it that way before.

re: the poll, none of them are an exact science. it's a fun and interesting way to see how others are doing and get opinions while retaining anonymity. Chat Icon
