For those who have spotted in the 1st trimester...(Monday Update Dr. Appointment)

What was your spotting like?

I've started spotting this morning and am a little worried.

I called my OB and they said as long as it's not like a period it's normal for spotting to occur during the 1st trimester.

I did not go through this with #1, so I'm doing my best not to freak out.

Could use some sticky dust Chat Icon Chat Icon

Update....

So I'm crampy and the bloody discharge seems to be getting worse...but it's not constant, only when I wipe...sorry TMI Chat Icon I've called the Dr and he says that it "seems" to be a bad pregnancy and that I might be miscarrying. I go in on Monday to get checked out and see.

Please pray everything's ok.

Sunday Update: Thank you everyone for your prayers and sticky dust. I have to say that today, I truly believe that the powers that be have a different plan for this baby Chat Icon It's not just "spotting" anymore. I've tried with every ounce of me to grab on to some hope, but each time I go to the bathroom (sorry TMI Chat Icon ) I lose that hope a little bit more. It just doesn't look good Chat Icon

So, we'll get through today and I'll see the doctor tomorrow and I will keep you posted as to what they say.

Thank you again with all my heart for your prayers Chat Icon Chat Icon It really means the world.

Monday Dr Appointment Update:
Well...nothing's been confirmed either way Chat Icon I had a sono and there was nothing there. Dr says it *could* just be too early, but the fact that I did get a + on a bunch of tests 2 weeks ago there should have been somthing there...a visable sac at least. So Chat Icon But they are questioning why I'm not constantly bleeding...only when I pee. Nothing to go "whoo hoo" about though. So, because the sono was inconclusive, they took blood, checking my levels and I have to call tomorrow afternoon for the results. Depending on what they are, too low, the obvious, or if they are in a certain range I go back for more to see if they've increased or decreased.

I am feeling OK Chat Icon No more cramping and the bleeding isn't AS bad...but it's still there.

I guess I just have to sit and wait for another day! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thank you all SO much for thinking of me. I can't tell you what all this support means to me Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: For those who have spotted in the 1st trimester...

My spotting was a light brownish color. I only noticed when I wiped, sorry to be TMI. It only happened for a couple of days. The doctor told me some women spot in the first tri, but as long as it's not a lot and very red in color, it should be okay.

i'm going through the same thing---started spotting last night (ironically i was in for my 12 week checkup yesterday and they said everything looked great) and when i went to the bathroom i saw blood and nearly freaked. i called the dr who said to just take it easy. it's hard not to freak out.

Re: For those who have spotted in the 1st trimester...

I had brownish spotting and then it turned more red. It lasted for about a week or two and then it stopped.

Everything is fine though and I'm due very soon!

Re: For those who have spotted in the 1st trimester...

with first pregnancy the first spotting i had was a purplish brown only saw when i wiped. The second time i had spotting it was bright red and could see in toilet, it looked liked drips.

eta: 1st spotting believe was implantation. 2nd spotting went to doc, did sono and checked cervix all was okay.. doc didnt know what it was from. but baby was okay.

Re: For those who have spotted in the 1st trimester...

I had full-on bleeding wth G. I had implantation bleeding that was brownish/pink, then I had a cyst rupture & that was just red, then I had the placeta previa and I had red/orange spotting on & off for the entire PG. I think in the whole first half of my PG with G I only had 10 days that had no bleeding.

It is not uncommon, but definitely keep your Dr informed.Chat Icon

*(BTW: I had zero bleeding this PG.)

This is kind of what's been happening all day to me when I go to the bathroom. I can see some "drips" in the toilet, but it's more of a discharge than period like blood, if that makes any sense.
