for those who took a child birth class
I am taking mine tomorrow - its an all day class at the hospital - what exactly happens?

At mine we went over the different stages of labor, breathing techniques, cord blood banking, breastfeeding, different types of formula, ways to hold baby, what a healthy newborn looks/acts like, medications used during labor, epidurals, csections, etc.

Same here and we did watch some live birth videos which weren't horrible, but were kind of just graphic...

We watched 3 in my class.
1 was of a c-section
1 was of natural birth with breathing & no drugs
1 was of vaginal birth with drugs
I wouldn't say gross, but they are very detailed and show every little thing.

I dont think it will bother me,but my poor DH will prob be sitting there w/ his eyes closed and his ipod on during these...I know he'll be very supportive at the time...as long as he doesn't have to see anything!

Same for us. The last class we did a tour of the L&D in hospital.
