For those who were "considering" the Kolcraft double stroller

I actually looked at it in person at BBB (don't ask why.... I am not PG!!!)

I really like the stroller. It's big but I feel it's easy to maneuver.

A few pros:
- Like the look
- Not too heavy to carry (I thought it would be worse)
- VERY easy to remove the seats are do different combinations
- Has a car seat adapter (an actual metal frame that you can under the carseat in the last pic)
- Folds easily

A few cons:
- You have to remove both seats to fold it. You cannot leave the seats on.
- I felt it was not fitting "that well" when they both face forward (space for feet of 2 kids). I could not get 1 seat to fully incline in full straight position (I will need to do more test drive at BBB again on that particular issue)
- VERY bulky when folded

there is another double stroller that is soooo similar to this one, but has three wheels, that I see at the pool everyday. I saw the mom fold the whole thing flat (without removing seats) and put it in her caravan. I'll have to ask her tomorrow what kind it is. I know it had a handbrake.

I also heard that the seats are not that deep, so moms with bigger kiddies wouldn't fit completely in them.

Jared wouldn't fit in that thing at all.Chat Icon

Yup, I looked at it and besides it being heavy and bulky and I found the whole seat removal thing annoying, the seats are very small...

I fell in LOVE with this stroller when I saw it. I had no clue that you had to remove the seats to get it to fold.

I actually asked a mom who had the single of this stroller how she liked it and she said that for the look she loved it but the ride was bumpy and handled poorly, not sure if that's true for the double though.

That's a good point! I would have to put DS in it to see how it goes. He is on the bigger size.

I didn't like that one either... I ended up with a side by side, they are all heavy though, some just bulkier than others...

I would like to know which one this is. I am in the market for one. I hate double stroller.

Re: For those who were "considering" the Kolcraft double stroller

I actually was looking at that stroller the other day. It is really great that you can face both seats forward but you are right about the seats not really fitting right. I put my DS in it and took it for a ride around the store. He loved it!! I had him sit in the seat furthest from me facing me so of course he felt like he was on a ride. I found the seats to be a little small and my DS is only 9 months. I can't seeing him being comfortable in it from 13 months on (that's when him and his little sibling will be in it together). Also it feels so big when you are pushing it around.

I can't seem to find a double stroller I like. Now I am thinking about getting a side by side. I like the fact that both seats can recline ALL the way back in a side by side. If you find anything interesting out there pleas let me know. Chat Icon Chat Icon

I think there are some good features on it, but to be honest I am not thrilled with any double stroller. I have to go there one day with DC & DH and pick one. I think I am dreading that chore the most.

Re: For those who were "considering" the Kolcraft double stroller

i have it and yes it is very heavy and bulky but it is a great double stroller when we are going somewhere shopping. I have used it to go to the gym and for errands.. the boys love the fact that they can face each other. I also love the handles for DD to hold. it actually folds up into DH's trunk you just have to take the front seat off.. for the price it is a good stroller and people stop me all the time when we use it
