For those with more than one child

I am sure not sure if this has been asked before, but how many years inbetween your kids?
Did you plan it that way, like one was out of diapers when the other was born?
Do you think that it was hard if they are too close in age?

Re: For those with more than one child

my best friend conceived #2 when #1 was 10 months old....she said it is tough, but would NEVER change it.

My sister and I are 2 years 10 months apart and for a long time were quite distant and were different people. It wasn't until my wedding that we grew alot closer.

Re: For those with more than one child

Thanks Shana.. My closest sibbling is 5 years older than me. I always thought it would have been nice to have a brother or sister a year older than me... This way we could go to school together and have the same group of friends.... stuff like that.

It is nice....but you have to remember that sometimes they end up totally different....I was a goody and my sis was the rebel/freak (still is too!) I live in the "stix" according to her and she's a city girl!Chat Icon

BUT I do love her to death and miss having her around to just call and say, lets go to lunch

Wasn't even closed to being planned, but there will be 18 months between my two.

The actual pregnancy is already just much different than my first. I barely find time to relax. Chat Icon

Re: For those with more than one child

I have no direct experience as far as my own children go, but my brother and I are only 14 months apart and even though we are different genders, we got along great. I mean we bicker every now and then, but all in all we had a great time growing up. In high school for a year or two we were not that close, but that was the only time.

My brother and I are 5 years apart and me and my sister are 10 years apart. We are all very very close. Closer then alot of siblings we know that are only a few years or months apart so you really can't go by that IMO.

Re: For those with more than one child

Thanks everyone!!!
I am really curious about how hard it is to raise children so close in age... Just trying to think a little down the road, in my own situation I dont think I want to wait that long for baby #2, but I also dont want to loose my mind
