I like the shape, etc., but being it's a Ford...eh...not a fan of them at all.

Re: Ford Edge - opinions?

Honestly I have never had a good experience with fords (cars or trucks). I do like the new design though. I might wait until next year when they have time to work out the bugs of a first year car.

(Are we not loving Toyota? lol)

Re: Ford Edge - opinions?

My father works for Ford and he says that this is the newest crossover car. It gets great gas mileage (better than a SUV) but right now, they're more expensive than an Explorer. I think it's such a cute car! I love the design!

Ahh I see. I do love the design & the features. What I do not love is Ford's track record. DH had a truck & it was a mess....in the shop constantly. Mom had a T-bird (pre-redesign) and it also was a mess. She was one of the lucky ones to have her electrical short out while driving. They ended up recalling her car 3 times.

DH lost the tortion bar in his F150 Pick up while driving on a flat road. I still cannot figure that one out.

Re: Ford Edge - opinions?

I think it has a nice design but I would not buy a Ford.

I also hate the commercials.

I have a ford, a mustang, and have had no issues, but I would never buy a ford product unless it was another mustang.

Chevy has a truck that looks like that, I think its the equinox. I am looking into that truck when the mustang goes one day.

Re: Ford Edge - opinions?

I just bought a Ford Fusion and I love it.

My dad will only buy Ford. He has had his Explorer for over 12 years and never had one problem with it. Now he just bought the Freestyle and he lovest that too. He buys trucks for the business and has them for 15 years before he has to get a new one.

As long as you keep on top of the servicing ever 3 months, you shouldn't have a problem. We never did.

It does look really nice. Someone on here just bought one.

I hate to not buy american cars, but I just can't do it.
