Foreclosure Question
There is a house that just went in to forclosure on my block. Does anyone know who I should contact (foreclosures in general) to get info on it if I were interested in bidding on it? Thank you!

Re: Foreclosure Question
There should be information about the auction in the legal notices in the local paper.
Make sure you call to check and see if the auction is still occuring though, a lot of times the owner manages to refinance.
We looked into one but, the owner ended up refinancing (which I figured he would because he only owed $80k more!)

Re: Foreclosure Question
first the bank will auction it. like the previous poster said, it will be in the paper.
if no one bids or it doesnt sell at auction, the bank will take ownership (called a REO) and it will go for sale.
