All this formula talking got me thinking...Do you know that the ADA, NIH, WHO, EU and soon AAP (I hear) have made recommendations on DHA for infant formula. The recommendation is that formula should contain at least .2% of DHA from fatty acids for central nervous system development. Also, pregnant moms should get a minimum of 200mg/DHA per day.

All formulas on the market contain the proper dosage of .3%, while Similac still only provides .15% (not meeting recommendation).

Curious...what do you think of this? I know I am a rare bread as a dietitian and get kinda offended that other companies not only put the recommended dose in, spending millions of dollars more, and Similac still charges the same amt for their product without proper dose and Because I totally agree with DHA and see the clinical benefits DHA offers to babies

This is why I am a Enfamil, Good Start prefered....but just wondering what you think...
