Formula Recommendations?
I plan to bottlefeed my baby, and I have been researching formulas, but basically I've been reading that one is pretty much as good as another. Did you find this to be correct from your own research or experience (provided our baby has no food allergies of course)?
I also want to add that I know breastfeeding is best, but for various reasons, bottlefeeding is the better choice for my baby. Sorry if I sound a tad defensive--I've already had discussions with a couple people about this though.

Re: Formula Recommendations?
I loved gentlease. I felt the regular formula was too much on her stomach

Re: Formula Recommendations?
I used the formula that the hospital started him on, which was similac. I've changed twice since then bc he had issues with two different ones but I stayed with the same brand.
He was on the similac advance, then alimentum and now sensitive

Re: Formula Recommendations?
it's pretty much trial and error. we tried enfamil lipil at first b/c that is what they sent us home with the hospital with. but, DD broke out in a rash...it was too harsh for her. we ended up switching to Enfamil Gentlease.

Re: Formula Recommendations?
I have used Nestle Purina Goodstart Natural Cultures since the beginning and have NEVER had a problem. That is what my Ped recommends first now.

Re: Formula Recommendations?
My DD was given Similac Advance in the hospital & has been on it ever since - no problems at all.

yes trial an error. Sometimes the first one works. Luckily that happened for me with both kids.

Re: Formula Recommendations?
We used what they stocked at BJ's, and luckily, it worked out for both DC. We had to use soy for a while, but they also had that at BJ's.

Re: Formula Recommendations?
Thanks for the replies! I'll definitely have to try Nestle Goodstart, though I'll probably give Enfamil a shot since I have free samples of that.

Re: Formula Recommendations?
The pediatrician recommended Similac Advance to this when we had to supplement. We had no problems.

Re: Formula Recommendations?
I used Goodstart for my son which was fine, but it was horrible for DD. It's different for every baby. Now she's on the generic version of Enfamil Lipil and has no issues.

Re: Formula Recommendations?
The hospital started DS on SIlilac but we had to switch to Enfamil Gentlease, because we thought he was having gas problems. We ended up using the Target verison of it and loved it.

Re: Formula Recommendations?
Big fan of the Enfamil Gentlease! It was a life saver for us.
We were on three other formulas after I Stopped nursing before we got it right.
