Formula & Do You Have A Choice In The Hospital?
I plan to FF the baby and plan to use Good Start formula due to the cost factor. Am I allowed to bring a can to the hospital and ask that she be fed that over Enfamil or Similac?

Not sure, I would call the hospital and ask them what their policy is.

we did not get a choice at the hospital. ETA - we use Goodstart and it is working great for us. but don't assume a particular formula will work for your baby - be open to trying a few.

They wouldn't let me use my Rx meds that I brought with me in my bag so I'm not sure they'll use anything you bring in from outside b/c they're liable for consequences since they're the ones administering it. But maybe they keep different kinds in the hospital. I'd ask.

I actually wouldn't worry too much. You can switch to Good Start when you get home. The couple of days in the hospital aren't that big of a deal. They eat so little at that point.

When we went on the hospital tour, the nursery staff advised that they use Similac, I dont think you can bring your own formula in b/c they use the ready to feed bottles...at least at Huntington Hospital anyway

I agree. DS had similac at the hospital, then enfamil and then Good Start. He's still on Good Start.
