formula and solids question
DS gets 4 8oz bottles throughout the day and he gets cereal and fruit in the morning and cereal and veggie at night. Is is possible that DS will want less formula in his bottles now that he is getting the solids? I know that the formula is the main source of nutrition so I don't want to decrease if not, but he has only been taking 6oz and then he plays with the bottle and won't take the rest.

Re: formula and solids question
I asked my ped about this and she said he'll probably just stay at the same amount and not really increase the amount. However, I'm having the same problem as you. All of the sudden he is way to interested in everything else going on around him that he won't finish his bottles. I'm not feeding him too many solids either so I think it's just that he is too distracted to eat

Re: formula and solids question
We've been doing solids 3 times a day for about 2 months now and it hasn't changed the ounces ds takes or how many bottles. I think that will happen more when we start table foods.

Re: formula and solids question
i try to give DS the same amount of formula, but he refuses it. i can't force it, so i let him drink what he drinks.

Re: formula and solids question
We're on virtually the same amounts of solids, and I don't notice any decrease in the amount of formula, he takes about 5 6oz bottles throughout the day, he won't finish an 8 oz bottle so this seems better for him. Here's our schedule:
7am bottle 9am fruit & cereal 11 bottle 3 bottle 6 veg & cereal 7:30 bottle 10 bottle
