Formula brand question?
Does it matter what brand formula you use if its for example Similac Alimentum or Enfamil Nutramigen-I have buy one get one coupons for the Nutramigen from our supermarket but I use Similac Alimentum-can I still buy/use the Nutramigen since they advertise it to be the same hypoallegenic formula just different brand

Re: Formula brand question?
Hmm...it makes perfect sense to do that but what if the formula of one is slightly different from the other and your DD gets uncomfortable...I would just stick with one.

Re: Formula brand question?
I think with those two, you should stick to one. DS is on Gentlease, but my ped said we could use Nutramigen in a pinch (he gave me samples) or Similac sensitive. But he does not have a milk protein allergey, just some digestion issues.

Re: Formula brand question?
For most babies, it doesn't matter what brand you get, but usually once you find one that works, it's best to stay with it.

Re: Formula brand question?
In general it doesnt really matter..I use both Gentlease and Walmarts brand..Or Enfamil or Walmarts brand. But some babies are SUPER sensitive and the slightest change in their diet can make your life miserable...reason being that although the formulas are "formulated" basically the same they may receive their FATS or PROTEINS from different sources and the baby might be sensitive to them..or they may not.
