Formula check question

Does anyone has trouble using these checks when they aren't in your name?

I have gotten some from friends and BJ's absolutely refuses to take them if they aren't in my name (and I've tried a bunch of different BJ"s and cashiers!). And yesterday at BRU's they asked for ID and when I said I had gotten it from someone she took it but wasn't supposed to.

Are there any stores that don't check the name matches the buyer?

I've heard of places giving problems.

I always would go to Target and never did.

Re: Formula check question

Once at BJ's the cashier looked at my BJ's card to match the name on the check, luckily it was one of my own checks. But never since then I've been asked for ID or have a problem using a check else where. We all trade checks here on the forum.
Target is really good taking the checks, but if you are using multiple checks for multiple formulas, you'll have to pay them separately, a little annoying.
I've also used checks at BRU & BBB with no problems.
