Formula fed babies and white tongues...added pic.
Rylan often has a white tongue from the formula. The ped said to use a damp cloth to wipe it off. I've tried this but it so hard to get my finger in there. I've also bought infant toothbrushes that I can fit in there but I can't always get it off. Does this happen to anyone else?
FYI...it's not thrush

Hannah gets this all the time. I never even thought to try and get it off even though I would like to.

The ped said I should because the bacteria can cause thrush.

Mine used to get this. At some point, it stopped.
It does make sense to remove it, but my pediatrician said not to worry about it, though I could use a washcloth over my finger to remove it. It was hard to get it out, though you may do better with a baby toothbrush.
I really didn't get it out most of the time, and DS did not develop thrush, though maybe he was lucky.

I BF and get this sometimes too. My pediatrician also said to wipe it off with a wet washcloth every once in a while to avoid getting thrush.
You just have to wait till he yawns real big and stick your finger in there and swhich around a little!
