Formula Feeding Mommies

Do you boil the spring water when making bottles?

Also when your DC doesnt finish a whoel bottle do you throw away whatever is left after one hour?.


I just started formula feeding and have many questions.

I use room temp brita water. But if I was using bottled water I wouldn't boil.

Yes after 1 hr I toss whatever is left.

I use cold tap water and don't boil it

and I throw away any unfinished formula after

I boil tap water.

All unfinished formula gets thrown out - that is what the directions say.

I use room temp with a brita pitcher. I will use formula for up to 2 hours.

ah, that is because the directions are written so you buy more formula Chat Icon

I asked my doctor and he said 2-3 hours is fine. I throw it out after 2 Chat Icon
