Formula question--how long...

..after beginning a feeding would you still give the remainder of the bottle to DC?

For example: I started feeding DS around 8:40. He ate a little over 2 ounces and fell asleep. I put in down until 9:50 when he woke up hungry. I gave him the remainder of the bottle. It was sitting on the table between feedings. So that is an hour and 10 mins from beginning of feeding until the next one.

Is this okay to do? Its not like it was sitting out for 3 hours.

Re: Formula question--how long...

It depends if I have another bottle ready or not.

If I don't, then I will give DD the rest of that bottle. But if I do, then I will not give her that bottle.... I will just give her new - b/c my DD tends to take her time to drink her bottles, I know that so much more of that hour will pass before she is done drinking.

I do the same. my dd never drinks a set amount, so if make a fresh bottle everytime i would be tossing money out the window.

I toss after 2 hours. Any time before that he wants to finish it, I give it to him. We haven't had a problem yet.
