Found a new crib.
Well after the panic on Friday when I realized that Walmart was never going to get me the crib that I ordered.. and that it was sold out on every website or store I looked at... (Which also strikes me as a little weird.)...
I went shopping yesterday. Well, the panic started to really set in when everyone told me up to 14 weeks to deliver it. I have less than 12 weeks left. Also due to our space issues it had to be less than 30 inches wides and the need to not spend 600$ it was a tough search. A near impossible task (excpet of course, on the crib I REALLY wanted from Walmart )
So after we were at the last store and just about to give up, My Dad spotted this crib. It isn't the right color to match our bedroom furniture (The baby will be in our room for a year since we only have one bedroom for now. Our furniture is more maple.. but, it's not too off.. and the room divider will provide some separation.) and it isn't the style I imagined (it's a low crib with stationary sides). But, it is kind of different which I like. It is lower than most cribs with stationary sides. It is a convertable. I like that.. and the color is pretty cool. It is a little different than the picture. It is actually kind of distressed and the color varies through the crib. And it will be here in two weeks!! BBB was able to get it from a store in NJ that had it in stock!
So here it is... The only thing I am really worried about is this.... We measured it like 5 times in the store. It was less than 30 inches wide.. well I found two websites this morning that listed measurements and they both said it was 31 inches wide. Should I just trust our measuring or run back up to the store today to measure again?

I think it is a good alternative to the one that you originally ordered...Don't worry so much about it being a different color, I think it gives the baby a "uniqueness" to his/her special room

That's what I think. And since it is a low crib, in the end, it may be less overwhelming to the tiny space we have.
My Mom just calmed me down about the measurements. We had 3 different people measure it. It is a brand new Model and maybe the measurements are just wrong online.

That is great! I think that crib will work in your space.
