Free Flu Shot for Pregnant Women today (Suffolk County)

Suffolk health officials will offer free H1N1 vaccination shots to pregnant women Thursday, the agency said.
Nassau will also offer more free flu shots for pregnant women next week.
In Suffolk, the shots will be available from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Suffolk County Department of Health Services, 225 Rabro Dr. E., Hauppauge. No appointment is needed.

I was wondering if anyone is going. The one that they are giving out contains the trace of mercury. My ob is office is still waiting for the non mercury one to come in and I am so torn. ughh I hate making these decisions.

Re: Free Flu Shot for Pregnant Women today (Suffolk County)

I know ppl are sick of seeing these posts but I am conflicted today myself. I just found a clinic near me in VA that is going to be on Saturday morning. They don't have the preservative free shot. However they have the shot. Every other clinic I have found only had the mist. It starts at 9am, and I was thinking if I go by 7:30, 8:00am I should be able to get it. I just don't know if the risk out weighs the benefit for me. I am not working so I am home and not exposed to ppl daily. I don't take the train often. I do go to the supermarket, other stores, out to dinner, and I know the risks of picking it up are there. DH is a police officer and is in large crowds often. I really don't know what to do. My OB recommends getting it but that doesn't really sway me either way. I feel like if I get it there could be a complication I am only 9 weeks now. However, if I don't get I could get the swine flu and get really sick and risk the baby that way. At least I have two days to make up my mind.
