Yep depends on the kid. They had the free projects at our last Rodeo. AJ picked the tool box. Nails, and glue were involved but she had no problem. Bird house and bug carrier were WAY over her head. She loved helping me hammer in the nails. At the end she got to put stickers on it. They gave her an orange apron, which we now use for projects at home. Its really neat. I hope to take AJ tomorrow. Just got to make sure my local Home Depot has it.

We have only been to one of these events - back in March they had a make a race car one. We took DS 4 1/2 and DD 2 1/2 and they both loved it. DS was able to do most of it on his own but needed some help with the wheels. DD still enjoyed herself even though she needed help. She helped use the hammer and put all the stickers on herself.

It also depends on the Home Depot you go to. I tried going to Copague a while back and the man told me 2 things. You have to sign up before that day so they make sure they have enough kits and many times they are full. Additionally, he told me that the kids MUST be 5 or older.
