freezing breastmilk question
Can you freeze breastmilk that has already been in the fridge for a day or 2, or do you have to freeze it fresh? TIA Also, any good suggestions on freezer bags to use?

Re: freezing breastmilk question
I only freeze BM if it's been a couple of hours after pumping & I decide that we aren't going to use it. I wouldn't wait a day or two JMO. I don't *know* the official answer.
I use the First Years freezer bags. They are good and about half the price of Medela bags.

Re: freezing breastmilk question
Yes you can. I just asked my sister (La Leche Leader) this yesterday because I've had some in the fridge for 6 days and didn't want to waste it. As long as it's not past the 6 day rule, you can put it in the freezer.
She also told me that if you're really concerned, the milk WILL smell sour if it's gone bad, just like regular milk.
