Freezing food question!
Let's say I make lasagna or eggplant parm or stuffed shells. I like to make for DH and I and also a portion for my grandfather. But what I've been doing is a PITA b/c I'm trying to plan meals around when I'm seeing him so the food is from the night before. Annoying. So, I'm thinking I can make food and freeze his portion. BUT...
do I cook and freeze or freeze with instructions how to cook? Or can I do both? TIA!

Re: Freezing food question!
Are you cooking the lasagna noodles first, then layering? I think if they are cooked first, then it doesn't need to be baked. If you are doing the noodles raw, then I would cook it so it doesn't get freezer burnt.

Re: Freezing food question!
i freeze stuffed shells all the time... i make them ( cook the shells, stuff them with cheese) BUT, i don't add any sauce or bake them. i just freeze them without any sauce and without heating up the cheese. THEN, when i'm ready to eat them, i just take our however many shells i need, put them in a pan with some sauce and stick them in the oven...

Re: Freezing food question!
I cook them halfway and then freeze. That way they aren't too dried out.
