Fresh mint?

Does anyone have any good recipes that use fresh mint?

I've never used it but I'm growing it in my garden this year. I was thinking mojitos when I bought it. Anyone make a really great mojito?

TIA. Chat Icon

Greek meatballs. My yiayia always used fresh mint in her meatballs. Here's a recipe similar to hers except it calls for dried mint but you get the idea:

Yes, my yiayia too. So delicious! Especially with an avgolemono (lemon) sauce!

Re: Fresh mint?

DH and I love mojitos, this is the recipe we use:

12 mint leaves
1/4 lime
2 tbspn simple syrup
3 oz rum
ice
club soda

Add mint and limes to glass and muddle to release flavors.
Add simple syrup then fill glass with ice. Add rum and then fill glass with club soda. Stir and enjoy.

DH and I buy the flavored Bacardi rums (grape, apple, raspberry, dragon berry, etc). So good!

Re: Fresh mint?

I grew it in my aero garden and it grew like crazy! Practically took over. LOL. Here are 2 recipes I had saved.

Re: Fresh mint?

I put some in turkey burgers last night. I used dried mint, because we just planted our herbs and I want to let them settle in more before picking leaves off, but you can use fresh just the same.

Also, you can marinate zucchini in lemon juice, olive oil, s&p, and mint.

Macerate strawberries with sugar, orange zest, and mint, and put on top of pound cake.
