Thanks Everyone!
No real celebrating! I have to go to work the DH & I have things planned to get done around the house starting Friday night. I just wish he realized how important this day was to me......much more than my birthday! 
Congratulations, I totally understand, I have not had a seizure in 37 years, I had them as a baby, I'm sure Dh will doing something special that day for you.

my best day was the day I took my last tegretol pill in 2002 I've been med-free ever since
I had my surgery in July '97 & went 3 years with no seizures so the Drs wanted to try me on no meds.....when they did I had 6 seizures in a day & then went back on meds but 5 months later I had about 3 more so they added another med & I have been fine since
My neuro put me on a med for migraines which is also an anti convulsant so everytime I go see him he trys to get me to lower the other meds I'm on. NO! Don't fix what's not broke!

Ro you've got me beat. I'm 30 years seizure free. I had them as a baby also and they stopped when I was 2. I was on phenobarbitol when it was still experimental and was given by injection.

I'm very late on this subject - I'm very far behind on this board.
Just couldn't let this thread go by without saying congrats, sometimes it seems like a lifetime ago and others just like it was yesterday.
As for John not realizing how important this day is for you.....he didn't see what you went through at that time. He didn;t live through the days of 5 & 6 seizures in one day or the mood swings from the meds.
Jodi - I'm really glad that is part of your life you can put behind you and that John is part of your present and future!!!
