Friend moving to CA..........
What would you get her as a going away gift? I was thinking a Gift Card but I wanted something else also. Any ideas?

I would do a gift card (amex, home depot, BBB) and something small like a framed picture of the two of you or some great event you both atteneded. I wouldn't give her anything that would be a PITA to pack & move. Maybe follow up with sending something to her new home - plant, food, etc.

my thoughts exactly! I would say if you wanted to get a gift gift, then ship it direct to the new address....and unless you know their decorating taste, then I'd just go w/ a gift card.

i'd do a gift card to either an airline she flies alot (that way you benefit too from seeing her!) or to a place like Ikea for all the little things you forget when you move
