There should be some sort of notification when a friend request is made. I am so guilty of not accepting for the same reason - I just don't know they are there.
I usually get a seperate email from LIF (on my regular email) notifying me that someone's requested to be my friend.

Me too, but I added some new ones... total strangers but what the heck. Everyone on here seems really nice.
